To Attorneys, CM/ECF Users, and the Public: This communication contains information about news, events, and activities at the Bankruptcy Court. While much of this information is contained on the Court's website, I convey it to you for immediate use. · With the passage of the National Guard and Reservists Debt Relief Act, Congress created an exemption concerning the Chapter 7 Means Test form. The Act is effective Friday, December 19, 2008. More details about this Act can be found at http://www.moeb.uscourts.gov/pdfs/ng_reserve_dra.pdf . A Business Order of the Court implementing this Act can be found at http://www.moeb.uscourts.gov/business_orders.htm . The Court will activate the Reduced Paper Module (RPM) of CM/ECF starting January 5, 2009. This module makes the e-mail Notice of Electronic Filing (NEF) the sole method of notification, with the exception of the Notice of Commencement of Case (§ 341 meeting of creditors notice) which will also be sent by paper. To make certain you receive all NEFs, e-filers should keep their primary and secondary e-mail addresses current in CM/ECF and regularly clear out their e-mail boxes. The Court will hold a Brown Bag luncheon on January 8, 2009 from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m. covering Delinquent Mortgages Issues. CLE credit is pending approval.
