RE: PETITION FOR ADMISSION TO PRACTICE IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF HAWAII

Please find enclosed the petition for admission to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii. Pursuant to Local Rule 83.1(b) of the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii, after October 1, 1997, an applicant for admission to membership in the bar of this court must be an attorney who is an active member in good standing of the bar of the State of Hawaii, as evidenced by the possession of a Hawaii Attorney Identification Number and a current Certificate of Qualification from the Supreme Court of the State of Hawaii, 417 South King Street, Room 103, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, (808) 539-4919. In addition to your completed petition form, which must have the original signature, date and seal of either a U.S. District Court clerk or a notary public attesting to your taking the oath of admission at the bottom of the form, you must submit an original, current (no more than 30 days from issuance) Certificate of Qualification from the Supreme Court of the State of Hawaii and the admission fee of $75.00. Applicants residing in Hawaii may be administered the oath of admission at the U.S. District Court Clerk's Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by arrangement with a notary public. Applicants outside of Hawaii may be administered the oath of admission at a local United States District Court, or by arrangement with a notary public. Petitions may be mailed to the Clerk's Office of the U.S. District Court at the address above. The clerk may refer any petition to the Court for further instructions or final action. If all requirements are met, a Certificate of Admission shall be mailed to you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact this office.
