REPORT AN UNPAID JUDGMENT TO MVD

MARICOPA COUNTY JUSTICE COURT

If your judgment is the result of damages from a motor vehicle accident and your judgment remains unpaid for more than SIXTY calendar DAYS after the judgment was rendered, you or your attorney may request a suspension of the judgment debtor's driver license and vehicle registration.

Please STOP...
If there is no judgment rendered in your favor.

If there is a satisfaction of judgment filed.

If the claim did not involve a vehicular accident. 60 days have not elapsed since judgment was rendered.

Please PROCEED...
If you have not received payment from the judgment debtor and at least 60 days have elapsed since judgment.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) 2) Request a certified copy of your judgment (from the court clerk). File a written request with the court asking that the clerk certify that the judgment is not satisfied.

The clerk will send the correct forms to the Motor Vehicle Department

Maricopa County Justice Courts INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPORTING AN UNPAID JUDGMENT TO MVD Pursuant to A.R.S. 28-4071: If the judgment debtor has not paid the judgment due you and more than 60 days have passed since the date of the judgment, you or your attorney may request the court to forward a certified copy of the judgment to the director of the Motor Vehicle Division of the Arizona Department of Transportation, for the purpose of suspending the judgment debtor's driver's license and registration, or nonresident operating privilege. There is no cost to you for this certification. Please complete the request form below.
