Qualifications for Office
Are you holding an office which may conflict, or be incompatible, with the office for which you are filing? Or, is your employment incompatible with the office you are seeking?

UNITED STATES SENATOR Must be at least 30 years old U.S. citizen for nine years An inhabitant of the state in which he shall be chosen. (U.S. Constitution, Art. 1, Sec. 3) UNITED STATES HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Must be at least 25 years old U.S. citizen for seven years An inhabitant of the state in which he shall be chosen. (U.S. Constitution, Art. 1, Sec. 2) GOVERNOR Must be at least 30 years old U.S. citizen Qualified elector Resided in the state five years next preceding the election (Wyo. Constitution, Art. 4, Sec. 2)

* In any general election year in which legislative reapportionment is required but has not been enacted into law at least one (1) year prior to the applicable filing periods, a person may be a candidate for the state legislature from a legislative district if he: (i) Is a resident of the legislative district on the date he files an application under W.S. 22-5-204 or a petition under W.S. 22-5-301; and (ii) Has been a resident of a county for at least one (1) year next preceding his election in which any portion of that legislative district is located.
