April 2, 2008 To Whom It May Concern: My name is Minnie Williams and I'm writing on behalf of my son Marvin Williams. Marvin has always been a good person. He is a very caring & loving man who made a mistake in his life. He has learned from his mistake and is ready to move forward with his family and children. Growing up Marvin was always a good kid, never in any trouble. He was in the top 10% of his class and featured in who's who. Before Marvin was sentenced he was residing in a half way house where he was doing well. He completed several hours of drug classes where he continued taking classes after he was sentenced. Marvin was working in construction where he is planning to return to. Marvin has a great personality and gets along very well with anyone he comes into contact with. He attended Church with me when he was out and he is looking forward to continuing on that path. He has always been a great father to his 4 daughters and has instilled great values in them all. I have not been able to see my son since Sept 2007 due to me having bilateral knee replacement. I really miss him a lot and I pray that you will honor his motion for an early release from prison because he is not a threat to our society.

Thank You, Minnie Williams (Mother)

He has always been kind hearted with the willingness to always help others. Growing up Marvin was always a shy & quiet person who never got into any trouble. He made a mistake in his life and he has learned and grown from his mistake. Marvin is not a threat to society and he is ready to prove that upon his release. Your Honor, please release Marvin back into society so our Family can be whole again.

April 1, 2008 To Whom It May Concern: My name is Lillian Gonzales and I'm writing on behalf of Marvin Williams. I have known Marvin for over 10 years and he has always been a caring, friendly and respectful person. I have a disability in which most people would turn their heads before assisting me. Whenever I needed a helping hand Marvin was always there to lend one. He was always there to lift my spirits and when he was sentenced I had no one else to turn to for that lift. I felt I lost a sense of security. I was heartbroken and knew it had to be a mistake from the type of person Marvin is. He has always been a fun loving person. I ask of you, your Honor, to release Marvin back into society where he belongs. Marvin is not a threat and has proven that through his behavior while incarcerated.

Thank You, Lillian Gonzales (Friend)

April 1, 2008 To Whom It May Concern: My name is April Williams and I am writing on behalf of my Father Marvin Williams. Your Honor, I ask that you release my Father back to society. My dad is a good person who made a mistake in his life but he has learned from his mistake and is ready to be with his family. He has always been there for me when I needed advice and needed a shoulder to lend on. When I was born I was connected to several tubes and had to stay in the hospital. My mom left me there at 6 weeks old and my dad stepped in and raised me to the best of his ability. If it wasn't for my father I do not know where I would be today. I have graduated high school and Apollo College. I could have not done this if it wasn't for my dad. He has always been a good person and is not a threat to society. I ask that you please release my Father so he can be with his children and grandchildren. Thank you so much.

April Williams (Daughter)

To Whom It May Concern: We, (Deacon & Sister Larry Robinson of The Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church) have known Marvin Williams for approximately ten years. He has done work for the church several times, working with the food program, repaired the roof and keeping up the lawn. He is very courteous toward everyone. He is a quiet person who seems to mind his own business. The only thing we can say it that he seems to be a nice young man. He is very respectful to us. He is a giving person if he sees someone in need. Sincerely, _________________________________________ Deacon & Sister Larry Robinson, Jerusalem MBC
