Applicants must specify whether the goods and/or services subject to the trademark (a) are now in use in commerce (specimens showing the mark as used in commerce then must be submitted with the application) or (b) are intended to be in commerce at a later time. Also, the goods must be specified according to their International Class Number (your attorney can help you with class numbers ­ the filing fee is based on the number of classes) and described in detail, including the mode or manner of use of the mark in connection with such goods and/or services.
