At the Hessic Trailhead on Forest Trail 902 tho pmposed access road enters th,e Lost Lake Mining Camp (5BL485) and remains within chcbnundaries of the historic district. Mr. Peper's rni.nin.gclaim lies within the bounclaries of 5BL485. Tl~us majority of the effects from this pmposed access the will take place within the boundaries (1.f5BL485.

The Lost Lakc Min.in.gCamp wa.s originally .recorded,in 1.480 by Manuel. Weiss. The district includes the Revenge Mine, Losr Lalce Mine, the Lost Lake Cabin, the Bol~on Cabi.n.(aka May Queen., 513L4134), the Ralston Ca.bi.n (5BL41331, the Po1ace.l.cCabi.n (aka 1-hghland Mary, 5BL4.135), the Peper Cabin., and associat.ed mining features i.nc1ud.in.gadits, ditches and the hj.st0ri.croad uscd to access rhc Lost Lakc Minj.ng Camp, The historic ra3.d is curren.tly :tnanaged as Fomsr Trail 902.2 and is proposed to be modified to allow year round two wheel drive passenger vehicle acmss,

When origina1l.y rccorded in 1980, the district was field evaluated a.s el.igible fo.r inclusion on th.e Na1:ional Register of Historic Places. However at that time, complete site f0r.rn.s describi,ng all1
