SERGEANT NEVINE, Defendant. ______________________________________________________________________________ ORDER ______________________________________________________________________________ This matter is before me on a paper filed by the plaintiff on August 4, 2005 (the " Paper" ), wherein he requests appointment of counsel to assist him in this matter. The Paper is addressed to me. The plaintiff does not certify that copies of the Paper were served on the defendant' s attorney. The Paper is not in the form of a motion. On July 11, 2005, I thoroughly explained to the plaintiff the rules regarding ex parte communications and service requirements. Order dated July 11, 2005. In addition, on July 11, 2005; October 18, 2004; and June 29, 2005, I advised the plaintiff that all motions must be submitted in the proper format pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 7(b). Id.; Order date October 18, 2004; Order dated June 29, 2005 (filed June 30, 2005). The Paper fails to comply with the rules and with my orders. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that Paper is STRICKEN. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the plaintiff shall hereafter comply with my orders, with the federal rules of civil procedure, and with the local rules of practice for this court regarding format, ex parte communications, and service requirements. Failure to comply with this directive may result in the dismissal of this case.
