and attitude of JOSE ROLDAN who was sentenced to 18 months’ imprison ent, consecutive to he statéseptence, for a (
violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1344(1 ) and (2), Bank Fraud, by the Honorable Robe N. Chatigny, Chie .S. Distrietdudge sitting '
in the court at Hartford on July 24, 2001, who fixed the period of supervision i= four years which • nrifnenced on March 14,
2003, and imposed the general terms and conditions theretofore adopted by `e Court and also i posed special conditions
and terms as follows; (1) The defendant shall pay restitution in the amount of $75,123.49 to Fl et Batik) and $350.01 to
Glastonbury Bank and Trust to be paid at the rate of $100 per month; and (2) he defendant shall Jarticipate in a program of
substance abuse monitoring, counseling and treatment as directed by the p- bation office; the • fendant will pay all, or a
portion of, the costs associated with any such treatment, based on his ability- to pay, in an amou to be determined by the
United States Probation Office.
On August 4, 2004, the defendant appeared for a violation hearing and admitte to violating seven c nditions of his supervised I
release. The defendant’s term of supervised release was revoked and he w s sentenced to a t m of incarceration for 12 l
months and 1 day followed by three years of supervised release. The followi g additional special onditions were imposed: i

, monitoring at the Governments expense; the defendant will be allowed to le e his home to wor · obtain medical attention,
l attend religious services, and for other reasons specifically authorized in adv nce by the Probati Office; _

The defendant is being cited for violating the following conditions of supenris d release:
Charge No. 1 — Mandatory Condition: "WhiIe on supervised release ou shall .ot commit anotherf deral state or local crime.
You shall not illegally gossess a controlled substance."
On August 1 2006, the defendantwas arrested bythe Hartford Police Depart ent and charged wi Carrying a Pistol Without
a Permit, Weapons in a Vehicle (2 counts) and Criminal Possession of a Fi earm. Nlr. Roldan i currently detained at the
l\/|acDougall - Walker Correctional Facility on a $1,500,000 bond. According ·· the police report, t — defendant was operating
a motor vehicle that carried three other males. When the arresting officers c erved the occupan - ' suspicious behavior, the
vehicle was pulled over and found to have two weapons including a Smith an • Wesson .38 calibe and a Smith and Wesson
.45 caliber on the rear floor. Additionally, one of the occupants was wearin a full knit ski mas on his head when lite was
removed from the car. A black bandana, haIf—finger gloves and a nylon half-fa e mask were also c nfiscated from the vehicle.
(See attached report). The defendant’s next court date is scheduled for Oct ber 25, 2006.

the Probation Office; the defendant will pay all, or a portion of, the costs asso lated with his partic ation in these programs 1
based on his ability to pay, in an amount to be determined by the Probation O -ce; (3) The defenda twill not incur new credit . i
. charges or open new lines of credit without the permission of the Probation Offi e; (4) The defendan will provide the Proliiation ;
Office with access to any requested financial information; and (5) The defenda twill seek and mai tain full time employment i
_ or vocational training. Upon release from custody, the defendants term of supe ised release comm nced on March 15, 2005.
Charge No.2 - Mandatory Condition: "You shall not possess a firearm as defi ed in 18 U.S.C. ~ 9 1."
On August 16, 2006, in Hartford, Connecticut, Jose Roldan operated a motor ehicle with full kno ledge that a firearm was
in it. In a statement documented in the police report, the defendant reported t t one of his accom Iices showed Mr. Roldan
the .357 firearm. Mr. Roldan grabbed the weapon, looked at it and asked his ccomplice why he rought the gun with him.
The accomplice told him that he brought the gun along just in case anything h ppened.
Charge No. 3 - Standard Condition: "You shall not associate with an erso s en a ed in crimi al activit and sh ll not
associate with any person convicted of a felony unless granted ermission to o so b the robati n officer."
On August 16, 2006, in Hartford, Connecticut, the defendant was arrested with orge Armando Dia and Emilio Mendez, both
of whom have lengthy felony arrest records with offenses that include robbery, arceny, burglary an possession of narcotics.
The defendant associated with these individuals without permission from the .S. Probation Offi r.
