GUIDELINES FOR APPLICATION TO PAY PETITION FILING FEE IN INSTALLMENTS The filing fee for filing a petition is as follows: Chapter 7 - $299.00 Chapter 11 - $1,039.00 Chapter 13 - $274.00 Local Rule 1006 requires a minimum payment to be made within 48 hours of the filing of a petition. Your case will be set for dismissal if the payment is not made within the 48 hours of the filing of the petition (excludes weekend and holidays). A second payment is required within 30 days of the filing of the petition and the final payment is required within 60 days of filing the petition. The filing fee is due within 60 days of the filing of the petition or the case will be set for a dismissal hearing. Due to accounting requirements from the Administrative Office, installments need to be paid as follows: CHAPTER 7 - individual 1. First payment must be a minimum of $75.00 at the time of filing or within 48 hours. You may choose to pay an additional $75.00 or $149.00 with this payment. 2. Second payment must be a minimum of $75.00. You may choose to pay the balance of $149.00 with this payment. 3. The final payment is the balance of the filing fee, due within 60 days of the filing of the petition. CHAPTER 13 - individual 1. First payment must be a minimum of $50.00 at the time of filing or within 48 hours. Any additional payment amount is acceptable. 2. Second payment must be a minimum of $100.00. Any additional payment amount is acceptable. 3. The final payment is the balance of the filing fee, due within 60 days of the filing of the petition. CHAPTER 11 - individual 1. First payment must be a minimum of $100.00 at the time of filing or within 48 hours. Any additional payment amount is acceptable. 2. Second payment must be a minimum of $100.00. Any additional amount is acceptable. 3. The final payment is the balance of the filing fee, due within 60 days of the filing of the petition. PAYMENT MUST BE IN THE FORM OF CASH OR MONEY ORDER. CHECKS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED FROM A DEBTOR.
