NOTICE OF NEW PROCEDURES ONLY APPLICABLE TO CASES ASSIGNED TO COLUMBUS JUDGES CALDWELL, HOFFMAN AND PRESTON MOTIONS TO EXTEND AND IMPOSE AUTOMATIC STAY UNDER BAPCPA Effective immediately, parties are not required to file separate motions for an emergency hearing or to shorten the notice period in connection with motions to extend or impose automatic stay filed pursuant to section 362(c)(3) or (4) of the United States Bankruptcy Code. Simply file the motions to extend and/or impose automatic stay, and then immediately notify chambers staff for the assigned judge. Upon filing and notification of the motions to extend and/or impose automatic stay, they will be reviewed in chambers to determine whether the assigned judge wishes to hold a hearing. After this review is complete, the assigned judge will prepare an order specifying the hearing date, notice procedures, the objection deadline, and whether a hearing is required in the absence of any objections. Immediately upon expiration of the objection deadline, the movant must upload an order granting the relief on the terms and conditions required by the Court.
