SHABAZ ORDER SCHEDULING PRELIMINARY PRETRIAL CONFERENCE ____________________________________________________________________________ The enclosed notice refers to a case which has been scheduled for a preliminary pretrial conference. Each party shall prepare a report to be filed not later than three days prior to the scheduled pretrial conference. The original is to be filed with the clerk's office and a copy served upon opposing counsel, or party where applicable. The written report shall address itself to the following: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Briefly stated, the nature of the case. Issues of jurisdiction or venue, if any. Those pleadings to be amended. Those motions either pending or contemplated. The date upon which discovery shall be completed. Recommended dates for final pretrial conference and trial.

At the preliminary pretrial conference, dates will be scheduled to ensure completion of discovery, the hearing and briefing of motions, final pretrial conference and trial. This report must be filed as directed to avoid dismissal and to secure the just, speedy and inexpensive determination of the action as is directed by Rule 1 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
