Important Notice about the Wisconsin Chronic Renal Disease Program Drug Benefit
The Wisconsin Chronic Renal Disease Program (WCRDP) drug coverage policies are outlined below. In November 2005, members received a letter from WCRDP that outlined new requirements regarding enrollment in the Medicare Part D drug plan. The letter is posted on the WCRDP website at: https://www.forwardhealth.wi.gov/WIPortal/Tab/42/icscontent/Provider/wcdp/crd/hcf1058.pdf.sp age. Please read the additional information below about WCRDP drug coverage policies. If you are not eligible for Medicare · When you submit your WCRDP application, you must submit proof that you are not eligible for Medicare in order to receive drug coverage from WCRDP. If you are not eligible for Medicare, you will continue to receive WCRDP drug coverage.

If you are eligible for Medicare · Since May 1, 2006, WCRDP does not provide full drug coverage, but will provide wraparound coverage. Wraparound coverage will provide assistance for out-of-pocket drug expenses, like deductibles and coinsurance. In order to receive this drug wraparound coverage, you must enroll in Medicare Part D, SeniorCare, or another form of creditable drug coverage. When you enroll in Medicare Part D, you need to choose the Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) that covers the drugs that you need. If you have SeniorCare or another form of creditable drug coverage and have not already done so, you must provide a certificate of credible coverage to WCRDP no later than May 1, 2008. Creditable drug coverage is drug coverage that is at least as good as standard Medicare Part D drug coverage. Remember, if you choose not to enroll in Medicare Part D, SeniorCare or another form of creditable drug coverage, WCRDP will not provide any drug coverage for you after May 1, 2006.
