IMPORTANT NOTICE UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK MAINTENANCE FEE INCREASE
Effective January 1, 2006, the Underground Storage Tank Maintenance Fee will increase to $0.014 per gallon. This increase will be reported on returns beginning with the 2006 reporting period. Reminder notices will be placed inside returns for the first quarter 2006 and for calendar year 2006. Senate Bill 1906 (Chapter 774, Statutes of 2004) increased the fee for each gallon of petroleum product placed into an underground storage tank from $0.012 to $0.013 per gallon effective January 1, 2005, and will increase the fee another $0.001 to $0.014 per gallon effective January 1, 2006.
