Dear Ms. Horan: Please accept this letter in furtherance of our recent conversations regarding the abovereferenced matter. As we have discussed, CommercialCasualty intends to work with the Navy regarding the resolution of any remainingcontract matters, closeout of the contract and release of the contract funds to it. It is myunderstanding that there are no remainingitems of work, and that the contract is ready to be closed out. While there has apparently been a misunderstanding between CommercialCasualty and Marsha Tyson, regarding the means by which the contract funds could be released, that hopefully is nowbehind us. CommercialCasualty has received numerousclaims on projects bonded for FASDevelopment Company, Inc., including the abovereferenced project. Commercial Casualty is fully entitled to the release of the contract funds, and they will be used to pay claims by subcontractors and/or suppliers. If by somechance the funds are released to FAS,they will never be seen again. As stated above, there have been several claims on the NASproject by FAS subcontractors. They include claims by FCXSystems, of Morgantown,West Virginia, in the amountof $21,194.00, and Rogers Electric of Roswell, Georgia, in the amountof $10,406.50. Copies of demandsfrom each subcontractor are attached hereto. Given these claims, there should be both sufficient justification and methodsunder the Federal Acquisition Regulations to
