The parent who paid the bill must ask the other parent to pay his/her percentage share. To ask for payment, send to the other parent a) a copy of the bill, b) evidence that you have paid the bill, and c) a letter requesting payment to you in the amount of $_____. This request for payment should be made promptly, and no later than 3 months after the bill is paid. If a request for payment is made after 3 months, there must be exceptional circumstances to support the late request for payment. The person receiving the request for payment shall make the payment within 30 days.
