I, Chris R. Jacobsen, declare and state as follows: A J J I J
1. I am a Special Agent of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration
(DEA) and a law enforcement officer of the United States within the meaning of
Section 2510 (7) of Title 18 of the United States Code. I am empowered to
conduct investigations and make arrests for federal felony offenses. The facts
stated herein are within my personal knowledge or were made known to me by
reliable law enforcement sources. I can and will competently testify to these facts
if called to do so.,
`( 2. I have been employed as a DEA Special Agent for the past 16 years, and I am _
r 0 currently assigned to the Flagstaff Post of Duty office. I have been trained in all
l _ aspects of narcotics investigations, and I have received specialized training in

i narcotics smuggling and distribution, as well as the laundering of drug proceeds.
` 3. I am familiar with the facts and circumstances involving the seizure of ~
i ` , $493,850.00 in United States Currency and a 1993 Ford F350 truck from Miguel
l ` Camacho and Roy Bruno on June 3, 2003 in the District of Arizona. V

l 4. On March 14, 2005, l received an affidavit signed by Leonardo Maya-Martinez,
Q A Sr. in Miami, Florida on March 10, 2005. This affidavit describes Mr. Maya’s
l personal dealings with Miguel Camacho. `
5. On March 15, 2005, I received an affidavit signed by J airo Hernandez in Miami,
Florida on March 14, 2005. This affidavit describes Mr. l·Iemandez’ personal
dealings with Miguel Camacho and Roy Bruno.
i 6. On February 23, 2005, I spoke to South Florida Money Laundering Strike Force
(SFMLSF) Detective Thomas Moran regarding his investigation that resulted in
the arrests of Leonardo Maya~Martinez, Sr. and J airo Hernandez. I asked .
Detective Moran for all infomation about Miguel Camacho and Roy Bruno that
was developed in his investigation. Detective Moran told me that a voluminous
I amount of material was developed and that he was not sure how long it would
I take to find all the information related to Miguel Camacho and Roy Bruno. Ihave
since attempted to contact Detective Moran on two separate occasions with
negative results. · I know, based on my original conversation with Detective
Moran, that he wasiexperiencing some medical problems that were preventing
1 him from working fulltime.

I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States that the foregoing is

the individual in that photo as the individual whom Miguel Camacho said was
married to his niece. I do not know that individual’s name.

6. I can and will competently testify to these facts if called to do so.
V I have given this declaration in Spanish and have had an opportunity to read and sign
duplicate originals of the attidavit in Spanish and English, assisted by a competent
translator who has assisted me during the giving of my statement. Pursuant to 28 U.S.C.
§l746, I declare under penalty of perjury the foregoing is true and correct. This affidavit
