MEMORANDUM
T0: Tonya McMath
FROM: Vera Stiesmeyer
DATE: March 27, 2006
CASE: Paul K. Bryan
SUBJECT: Telephone Conversation with Jake Vasquez (214-753-2457)
I spoke with Mr. Jake Vasquez mid~afternoon Friday, March 24, 2006. Following are
highlights of our conversation.
l. Paul Bryan has been fully compliant with all of the directives of PTS that Jake has
given him.
2. Contemplated Move to Florida - Jake said the reasons the Bryans wanted to
relocate to Florida are: Jill’s Dallas assignment expired on 11-04-05, Jill could
make more money in Florida, and Jill has family support in Florida. The Bryans
proposed this relocation plan, Jake then notified Arizona, the court of jurisdiction,
about the proposed plan and Arizona denied based on the supposedly non-
authorized move from Missouri to Dallas. Jake was surprised to hear that the
Dallas move was not taken well by the Arizona PTS office. Jake had first contact
with Bryan on October 6, 2005 and his records don’t reflect an unauthorized
move.
Timeline of Jake’s Correspondence:
10-06-05 Jake’s first contact with Bryan
l 1-14-05 Jake email to Sunny Cieluch regarding proposed plan to relocate
To Florida
ll—l4-05 Sunny Cieluch email to Jake regarding defendant not to relocate
without permission of court
Date ? Jake notified Bryan to have his legal counsel file a motion for
Relocation
11-29-05 Jake email to Sunny regarding denial of relocation
3. Sunny did not contact Jake for specific input when she wrote the memorandum to
Judge Wake recommending that the move be disapproved, but Jake said this is not
unusual. Jake would communicate with Sunny through emailed status reports.
Jake emphasized that he is only doing courtesy supervision and what Arizona
says, is what is done.
4. Contrary to Sunny’s representations in her memorandum to Judge Wake, Jake
~ never initiated steps to obtain Bryan’s VA medical and psych records.

5. Finally, at no time have the Bryans represented to Jake that upon moving to
Dallas that they would never relocate again. Jake is aware that Jill takes
temporary assignments.
I requested that Jake write either a letter or memorandum to Judge Wake regarding this
conversation because we felt it was important to clear up some of the misperceptions that
the Court has of Paul. Jake seemed amenable and was very cooperative in our
conversation.
