Defendant GILBERT L. LERMA, by and through undersigned counsel, hereby requests the Court continue the re-sentencing currently set for March 6, 2006, at 2:30 p.m.. More time is necessary, approximately two weeks, for the proper presentation of mitigation evidence. This counsel has spoken with the Assistant U. S. Attorney Thomas C. Simon, and there is no objection to this request. This motion is made in good faith and not for purposes of delay.
