Instructions For Registration, Renewal, Or Articles Of Amendment Of A Limited Liability Partnership
1. An application for registration is effective for a term of one year from the date the application is filed by the secretary of state. The partnership may renew its registration for successive one year terms by filing annually an application for renewal prior to the expiration of the term of the registration. A renewal application filed continues an effective registration for one year after the date the effective registration would otherwise expire. 2. Filing Fees: Application for registration--$25 for each partner plus an additional $5 (total not to exceed $105). Renewal application--$105 plus $50 for each additional partner added (total not to exceed $205). Articles of amendment--$25 plus $50 for each additional partner added (total not to exceed $205) 3. Please submit registration or renewal application, or articles of amendment, in duplicate along with the appropriate filing fee. 4. The application must be signed on behalf of the partnership by a majority of the partners or by one or more partners authorized by a majority in interest of the partners to sign the application on behalf of the partnership. 5. Initial applications for registration may be filed with the Secretary of State's Office in Jefferson City, and all subsequent filings to the initial registration must be filed in the Jefferson City location.
