Free Clearing the Cache - North Dakota

The "cache" is a location on your hard drive where data is stored. When you search the internet, your computer keeps track of every page you have visited and saves this information on your hard drive. We have found that if this file becomes large (i.e., many pages searched), the result may be a loss of docketing options. To clear your cache, perform the following:

For Netscape 6.X
1. On the Edit menu of your Netscape toolbar, click Preferences. 2. Under Category, click the Advanced selection. 3. Under Category, click the Cache selection. 4. Click Clear Memory Cache, then click OK. 5. Click Clear Disk Cache, then click OK. 6. Click OK to exit. Also, from the Cache page make sure you choose the option to Compare the page in the cache to the page on the network: Make sure Every time I view the page is selected. Now you will be viewing the most current version of that web page.

Netscape 7.0
1. From within the browser, choose Edit, Preferences 2. From Preferences choose Advanced, Cache 3. At the Cache screen, click the buttons Clear Memory Cache and Clear Disk Cache 4. Also, at the Cache screen choose the radio button "Every time I view the page" Click OK

For Internet Explorer 7.x
1. On the Tools menu of your Internet Explorer toolbar, click Internet Options. 2. Click the General tab. 3. In the Browsing History section, click Delete, click Delete Files for Temporary Internet Files or you can clean house and choose Delete all. Remember, any saved passwords will also be deleted. 4. Click OK to exit.

For Firefox 3.0.X
1. Click Tools 2. Click Clear Private Data 3. Check Save Form and Search History, Cache and Browsing History 4. Click Clear Private Data Now
