Defendant's counsel reported that he was assigned responsibility for Lion Raisins, Inc. v. United States, No. 04-1477, on September 20, a bid protest before this Court in which the plaintiff sought a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunctive relief. Defendant's counsel spent the remainder of the week negotiating with counsel for Lion Raisins a proposed order that was submitted to this Court for its consideration on September 24, 2004. In consideration of defendant's motion, particularly the fact that defendant's counsel was assigned responsibility for a bid protest requiring expedited consideration before this Court, defendant's motion is GRANTED. Defendant shall serve and file its reply in support of its motion for summary judgment and opposition to plaintiff's cross-motion for summary judgment on or before October 14, 2004.
