JUSTICE

is a COMMUNITY ENTERPRISE!
Knowledge about our justice system is fundamental to good citizenship. As the third branch of government, the judiciary plays a vital role in our democracy. The Alaska Court System seeks to foster understanding of the role of courts in America's legal system. Judges and other court personnel welcome opportunities to speak to community organizations and other groups about the role of judges in fulfilling our country's promise of liberty, justice and equality under law. We hope you will consider including a judicial presentation or other court-related activity in one of your organization's programs during the coming year, and look forward to hearing from you!
FRONT: Anchorage Therapeutic Court Judges, L-R: Judge Stephanie Rhoades, Coordinated Resources Project; Judge James Wanamaker, Wellness Court; and Judge Stephanie Joannides, Felony Drug and DWI Court. INSIDE PANEL: Judge Nancy Nolan speaks to a Law Day class on juvenile justice in an Anchorage courtroom.
