IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLORADO Criminal Case No. 01-cr-00321-11-LTB UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Plaintiff, v. 11. MICHAEL JOSEPH FROE, Defendant.
GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSE IN OPPOSITION TO DEFENDANT'S MOTION TO ALLOW TRAVEL FOR EMPLOYMENT PURPOSES (DOCKET ENTRY #1159)
NOW COMES the United States of America, by and through the undersigned Assistant United States Attorney, and files its Response in Opposition to Defendant's Motion to Allow Travel for Employment Purposes. The government makes its objection after having conferred with Federal Probation Officer Marshall. Mr. Froe's supervised release has been monitored more closely than some defendants due to Mr. Froe's criminal history. FPO Marshall has considered community protection issues throughout the supervised release period. Mr. Froe seeks employment in the community as distinguished from work inside a warehouse or factory environment where he would most likely work with the same adults everyday. FPO Marshall nor the undersigned object to a transfer of jurisdiction to the District of Arizona, however, to permit the short work transfer requested by Mr. Froe puts onerous case review and monitoring responsibilities on a Federal Probation Officer in Arizona.
