XX Jury Verdict. This action came before the Court for a trial by jury.
The issues have been tried and the jury has rendered its verdict.
IT IS ORDERED AND ADJ UDGED that pursuant to the Verdicts dated September 22,
2005, judgment is entered in favor of defendant Colleen Connor, on the plaintiffs claim for
a violation of his First Amendment rights. Judgment is entered in favor of the defendant,
Colleen Connor, on the plaintiffs claim for intentional interference with contractual relations.
Judgment is entered in favor of the defendant, the State of Arizona Citizens Clean Election
Commission (CCEC), on the plaintiffs claim for wrongful termination for reporting a
violation of the law. Judgment is entered in favor of the plaintiff Matthew Shaffer, and
against the defendant, the State of Arizona Citizens Clean Election Commission and Colleen
Connor, on the plaintiffs claim for defamation and for his damages to be One Million One
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($l,l00,000.00). Judgment is entered in favor of the plaintiff,
Matthew Shaffer, and against the defendant, Colleen Connor, on the plaintiffs claim for a
violation of his liberty interest, and find his damages to be One Million One Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($ l , 100,000.00).
