NOTICE AVAILABILITY OF VIDEO-ARGUMENT
Recently, as part of a pilot project, the COA has begun to permit oral argument by videoconference to our primary location in Philadelphia from district courts that have videoconferencing equipment. Currently, our equipment configuration limits parties to arguing from only one remote location, i.e. if you wish to argue from a remote location, opposing counsel can request to argue from the same remote location, or can argue in person in Philadelphia, but cannot make oral argument by videoconference from a separate remote location. If you are scheduled to argue in Philadelphia and are interested in video conferencing your argument, a joint motion of the parties is required at least seven days prior to your scheduled court date. Video-argument is at the discretion of the panel, and is dependent upon the availability of equipment and staff. If the parties wish to submit a joint request for video-argument, counsel shall fax a motion within seven days to the Clerk' Office at (215) 597-6956. s
