All counsel shall appear at a status conference on 6/19/2006 at 4:00 p.m. before Judge Martone. Counsel who will try the case must appear personally; however, out-of-state counsel may appear telephonically by calling chambers at (602) 322-7590 at the time of hearing. Defendant(s) are not required to appear in person at the conference. Please notify the courtroom deputy at (602) 322-7243 if you have a calendar conflict. If an incarcerated defendant's presence is desired, counsel must make this request in writing five days in advance of the hearing. Counsel shall be prepared to discuss the status of the case and readiness for the 6/27/2006 trial date (8th setting). Counsel are required to attend the status hearing unless a plea hearing is set or the case is in its third or earlier trial setting and a motion to continue trial/vacate status hearing has been granted. If a plea hearing has been scheduled, or a motion to continue trial has been granted prior to the status conference, the hearing for that defendant will be vacated. Counsel are responsible for contacting the courtroom deputy to determine the status of a motion to continue trial/vacate status hearing. RICHARD H.
