Petition to Revoke Supervised Release TL
COMES NOW PROBATION OFFICER Elizabeth P. Simons presenting an official report on Bryan
Leland Deal who was committed to the Bureau of Prisons on March 30, 2007, by the Honorable Neil V.
Wake presiding inthe District Court of Arizona. A one year period of supervised release was imposed,
and supervision commenced upon the offender’s discharge from imprisonment on April 11, 2007. In
addition to the general terms and conditions adopted by the court, the offender was ordered to comply
with the following special conditions:
1. You shall participate in a mental health program as directed by the probation officer which may
include taking prescribed medication. You shall contribute to the cost of treatment in an amount
to be determined by the probation officer.
2. You shall abstain from all use of alcohol or alcoholic beverages.
Bryan Leland Deal was convicted of Threats Against the President, a Class D felony in violation of 18
USC § 871 (a). He was sentenced to probation on February 2, 2004. On March 30, 2007, probation was
revoked and Deal was sentenced to time served plus 11 days with one year of supervised release to
follow.
RESPECTFULLY PRESENTING PETITION FOR ACTION OF COURT FOR CAUSE
AS FOLLOWS:
A. Violation of Standard Condition 7: "You shall report to the Probation Office as directed by
the Court or probation officer, and shall submit a truthful and complete written report
within the first five days of each month."
On May 25, 2007, while incarcerated in the Maricopa County Jail, Deal was given a written
directive by the probation officer that instructed him to report to the probation office within 72
hours of his release from custody. He was released from custody on July 24, 2007, and failed to
report within 72 hours. Grade C violation. §7B1 .1(a)(3).
B. Violation of Standard Condition 7: "You shall notify the probation officer at least ten days
prior to any change of residence or emp|oyment."
On July 31, 2007, Deal left a voice mail message forthe probation officer indicating he was living
at the homeless shelter in downtown Phoenix. On August 15, 2007, when the probation officer
went to the shelter, it was learned he had left on July 31, 2007, and was no longer a resident.
Deal failed to notify the probation officer of his change of residence and his current whereabouts
are unknown. Grade C violation. §7B1.1(a)(3).

In conformance with the provision of 28 U.S.C. § 1746, I declare, under penalty of perjury, that the
foregoing is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. Based on the information presented that the
offender has violated conditions of supervision, l am petitioning the Court to issue a warrant.
