Plaintiff DIRECTV, Inc. ("DIRECTV") submits this Brief Status Report Regarding Settlement in accordance with the Court's November 21, 2005 Order. The parties have reached agreement as to the terms of the settlement documents and are in the process of executing those documents. DIRECTV sent final settlement documents and closing papers to defendant's counsel for signature on or about December 19, 2005. Defendants' counsel has sent the documents to his clients for signature and expects that his clients will return the settlement documents to him in early January. DIRECTV anticipates being able to file closing papers no later than 30 days from this date.
