14 be examined pursuant to Title 18, United States Code, Section 4244 (1949), for the purpose of 15 determining whether the defendant was mentally responsible at the time of the alleged 16 commission of the acts charged in the Indictment, that is, whether or not at that time the 17 defendant had a mental disease or defect resulting in a lack of substantial capacity either to 18 appreciate the wrongfulness of his conduct or to conform his conduct to the requirements of the 19 law. 20 IT IS ORDERED that Federal Medical Facility in Butner, North Carolina, is appointed 21 to examine the defendant for the purpose of determining whether the defendant was mentally 22 responsible at the time of the alleged commission of the acts charged in the Indictment; 23 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the defendant shall afford such cooperation and 24 information as may be required to properly conduct such mental examination including the 25 report or reports of any other mental examinations heretofore performed on the defendant. 26 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the examining physician (institution) shall report to the 27 Court its findings as to the mental responsibility of the defendant at the time of the alleged 28 commission of the acts charged in the Indictment.
